The Holocaust was the attempted extermination of the Jewish people by Nazi Germany during WWII. Approximately six million Jews were murdered during this period.

Ever since Hitler had come into power, persecution towards the Jews had been slowly building up, but came to a head on Kristallnacht, November 9, 1938.
